Based in the Cooper Buildings on Arundel Street, we've been a specialist tech and digital incubator for 30 years.

Our incubation programme, the Cooper Project, is a 6-month free residency in the Cooper Lounge open to pre-start and early stage start-ups operating in tech and digital sectors. It is an opportunity to test an idea and develop it into a viable business, or develop your early stage business in readiness for expansion into your first office.
We’re looking to on-board small cohorts of people with an ambition to set up, develop and scale a digital business. Our key measures of success are business creation, job creation and graduation from the Technology Park Campus

What's the process?

Send us an email, and we'll send you a link to a short pre-application online course to establish if the Cooper Project is the right fit for you.
You'll have an initial interview with our Growth Advisors and Project Coordinator [PC] to explore the business idea and opportunities.
Once accepted onto the programme, our PC will work with you to develop a business and personal development plan with milestones and dates.
We'll arrange meetings for you with our Growth Advisors and whichever EiRs are most relevant for your business.
At the end of the 6 months, there's be an opportunity to present your progress at one of our regular socials.

What's involved?

By being part of the Cooper Project, you'll join a community of like-minded people on a similar business journey.

We will provide:

•6 months free co-working space with free coffee
•Access to a dedicated Project Coordinator to develop personal development and business plans
•Access to our Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EiR) who can offer advice on a range of specialist subjects
•Access to our Growth Advisors who can help your business to scale
•Access to events, workshops, and socials

If you are accepted onto the Cooper Project, we expect you to:

•Come to events, workshops and socials
•Engage with PC, EiRs and Growth Advisors
•Demonstrate ongoing progress towards reaching agreed milestones
•Work from STP at least 2 days per week
•Present your progress at the end of your 6 months

We have limited free places on the Cooper Project. If you are not deemed to be making best use of your place we reserve the right to allocate it to someone else. You would still be able to retain access to the space through paid co-working membership at £9 a day.

As a not-for-profit, we don’t ask for equity in your business, all we need is your passion to succeed.

Drop us an email and we'll send you a few questions to start the conversation about how we can help and add value.
